Gaming platforms, automakers and car design
The 3D development company Unity Technologies, known for its widely used virtual and augmented reality gaming platforms, has spent the past three years working with automakers to help improve areas from vehicle design to employee training. But since officially launching an automotive arm in May, the San Francisco company has been developing an even wider scope of tools driven by a growing interest in the technology and new ways it could help automakers. Consider the fact that the word “Motor” is in the brand’s name and it’s no longer surprising that BMW has made some incredible engines over the decades...
It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
The 2017-18 auto show season is in full swing, with automakers introducing a number of new cars, trucks and SUVs at shows including the 2018 Detroit Auto Show and 2018 New York Auto Show.
