Porsche Trademarks Tasty Hypercar
Porsche's supercars are few and far between, but well worth the wait; just take a look at what they've blessed the automotive world with since the turn of the century. The Porsche Carrera GT came out in 2004, a solid 16 years ago. That car's mid-mounted aluminum V-10 displaced a healthy 5.7 liters and produced an even healthier 605 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. At the top are Lexus and Toyota once again, with the GX as the most reliable Lexus and the Prius C as the most reliable Toyota. Subaru, Kia, and Infinity have also stayed in the top six spots, though Mazda made a huge leap from 12 to number three. That leap, CR says, comes courtesy of Mazda “[working] out problems that plagued the CX-9 SUV and MX-5 Miata roadster.”....
It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
How does this actually work? In short, a small electric car not much bigger than a rat was built from some aluminum ...
