Chevy Corvette Sold for $3 Million at Auction
The Barrett-Jackson auction company got $3 million for the very first 2020 Chevrolet Corvette off the line at its January auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, with all proceeds going to a Detroit educational charity. The mid-engine C8 Corvette with VIN 001 gets the Z51 Performance package and the 495-hp 6.2-liter LT2 V-8, and the winning bidder was NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick.

Last week was a difficult one for Tesla. After the carmaker waged a public war of words with federal safety regulators, CEO Elon Musk picked a Twitter fight with a magazine and may have improperly revealed financial information.
Both outlets report that the new M3 will come with more than 510 horsepower, thanks to a slightly uprated version of the "S58" 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six found in the latest X3 M and X3 M Competition models...
What exactly does that mean? In short, driver and passengers are shielded from small arms and rifle fire thanks to steel and composite armor materials fitted into the doors, as well as ballistics grade glass for all the windows....
