Automakers around the world are holding their breath as they prepare new vehicles for debuts over the next 12 months.
Between now and next September, a handful of cars, SUVs and at least one pickup will have an outsize impact on their manufacturers and the safety, value and features available to customers.
The first Encore helped launch the subcompact luxury SUV revolution when it debuted in 2012. The Encore is still among the smallest luxury SUVs on the market, so hopes are high for the larger GX when sales begin early in 2021....

We've seen this before: automakers offering the first example of a highly anticipated new model up for auction to benefit a charity...
At the top are Lexus and Toyota once again, with the GX as the most reliable Lexus and the Prius C as the most reliable Toyota. Subaru, Kia, and Infinity have also stayed in the top six spots, though Mazda made a huge leap from 12 to number three. That leap, CR says, comes courtesy of Mazda “[working] out problems that plagued the CX-9 SUV and MX-5 Miata roadster.”....
BMW enlisted the help of its Individual departments to create an appearance package named Golden Thunder for the 8 Series. It wraps the inside and the outside in black and adds a handful of gold accents....
