Automakers around the world are holding their breath as they prepare new vehicles for debuts over the next 12 months.
Between now and next September, a handful of cars, SUVs and at least one pickup will have an outsize impact on their manufacturers and the safety, value and features available to customers.
The first Encore helped launch the subcompact luxury SUV revolution when it debuted in 2012. The Encore is still among the smallest luxury SUVs on the market, so hopes are high for the larger GX when sales begin early in 2021....

What exactly does that mean? In short, driver and passengers are shielded from small arms and rifle fire thanks to steel and composite armor materials fitted into the doors, as well as ballistics grade glass for all the windows....
It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
So the car's RFID key card got her thinking, much as any of us would: Hey, why not put that thing in my other arm? They chip dogs, don't they?...
