The Ford F-150 is a big deal. So big that if it were its own brand, it would be bigger than McDonald's, according to Automotive News. It would also be bigger than 3M, you know, “the multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, U.S. health care and consumer goods.” When a new F-150 comes out, like we’ll see this later week, it’s an even bigger deal. Let’s see how big.
For 2018, the average transaction price, according to Kelley Blue Book, for an F-150 was $47,174. Also in 2018, Ford moved more than 909,000 versions of the pickup. That’s almost $43 billion in truck revenue alone....

The new tunnel was excavated along a path that runs not through Los Angeles but beneath the tiny adjacent municipality of Hawthorne, where Musk's Boring Company and his SpaceX rocket firm are both headquartered. Musk, best known as head of the Tesla electric car manufacturer and energy company, launched his foray into public transit after complaining on Twitter in December 2016 that L.A.'s traffic was "driving me nuts," promising then to "build a boring machine and just start digging.".....
It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
