The couple from Meningie, which is around 100 miles south of Adelaide (which is about eight hours north of Melbourne), thought it would be a good idea to slap some special tires on their Ford Falcon to illustrate the upcoming child’s gender. While this seems like a fairly standard way to handle a gender reveal, the car’s tires burst into flame during the burnout........

At the top are Lexus and Toyota once again, with the GX as the most reliable Lexus and the Prius C as the most reliable Toyota. Subaru, Kia, and Infinity have also stayed in the top six spots, though Mazda made a huge leap from 12 to number three. That leap, CR says, comes courtesy of Mazda “[working] out problems that plagued the CX-9 SUV and MX-5 Miata roadster.”....

And the road, known simply as The Winding Course, is a 3.9-mile, 17-corner carnival of constant high-speed, high-lateral g driving that dips and climbs nearly 200 feet over one lap with precious little run-off or room for error, but plenty of .....

Lexus made a name for itself building unimpeachably well-engineered and well-built luxury cars that were also, let's be honest, a little bit beige. Impressive values, sure, and cool in their own normcore way (I'd love to have a Floridian grandpa-style early 1990s LS, personally), but beige. ....

It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
Mercedes-AMG released this sketch of a show car the company will display at the Geneva auto show next week. Although we don’t yet know anything about the car, even from this illustration its most notable feature is clear:
It has four doors. AMG, it would appear, has a case of Porsche Panamera envy. AMG-enhanced Mercedes sedans are nothing new—in fact, they are the basis from which AMG sprung; but AMG’s only exclusive model, the GT and its variants, is offered only as a coupe or convertible.
With the GT concept, the Mercedes in-house go-faster division clearly is exploring a sleek sedan derivative. Or make that a four-door hatchback, as it appears the concept has a rear liftgate rather than a trunk.
But we won’t go crazy examining this drawing for clues, since the car itself will make its debut in just a few days (Tuesday, March 7, to be exact).
It will be interesting to see how the GT Concept looks next to its Zuffenhausen doppelgänger, which is similarly expanding with a new body style of its own: a station wagon, in the shapely form of the new Panamera Sport Turismo.
